Biography

The seeds of Disaster Magnet were sown in late 2003 when singer/guitarist Dwight Faulkner, approached drummer/guitarist Andrew Hamblin with some material he'd been working on. Longtime friend and bassist Brandon Ruscavage joined shortly after his release, and the trio continued writing and searching for just the right lead guitarist. After several others were auditioned, ace guitarist and soon to be good friend Scott E. Slick was quickly hired.  Two years after its inception Andrew left the band, and after a few years of interim drummers, they finally found Rafael Navar. Late in 2009 Brandon left the band. With a new resolve  Disaster Magnet evolves into a power trio. With Dwight on bass guitar Disaster Magnet thunders on with a new found drive and clarity.

Disaster Magnet are connoisseurs of the heavy music from the last four decades and try to draw from the best of this in their own writing. Watching a Disaster Magnet show will rekindle the excitement that you may have lost in today's detuned and disillusioned heavy music scene.
